Our new pastor and his family were called to Providence Friends at the beginning of 2018 from Plainfield Friends where he served faithfully for almost five years. Kevin was born and raised at South Plainfield Friends in Sophia, NC and is a graduate of Randleman High School. He has a bachelor's degree from John Wesley University with a double major in Pastoral Ministries and Biblical Studies. Kevin is currently working on his Master's Degree in Theological Studies, also from John Wesley.
Since arriving at Providence Friends, Kevin has delivered sermons which encourage us spiritually while challenging us intellectually. He covered the book, I Am A Church Member by Thom S. Rainer which reminds us that it is possible to be an effective, unified church body even if the individual members have different opinions. "Why Jesus Left Glory" was the focus of a four part series leading up to the Resurrection. We look forward to hearing what God lays on Kevin's heart to share with us!
Kevin enjoys spending time with his family, teaching God's Word, reading, hunting, fishing, and watching Tarheel basketball. GO HEELS!
